On The Road To Baby Time

A view from a moving car straight out the passenger side of the windshield. You can see the dashboard clearly, the road ahead is out of focus
A couple days ago we went off to the hospital for our monthly checkup. The doctor was so impressed with Amanda's blood glucose scores. I think she almost was about to say that it seemed like the diagnosis was incorrect (as I still think) but she didn't. That's ok though, I'll get over it. I know I've said this before but being diagnosed with gestational diabetes isn't too bad of a thing. I have already lost about 15 lbs using our low carb low sugar diet. My beer/food/sitting around/sympathy pregnancy belly is shrinking daily!

We also are now on what was supposed to be 2 week doctor visit intervals, however due to their having no openings it'll be 3 weeks. That's how you know you're getting close to baby time.

Another way to know you're getting close is when you have baby showers, which Amanda is having this Saturday over at my mom's house. I guess some people have already dropped off gifts there. I just love opening presents early but we were given the thumbs down to doing it in this case. (My mom always had to double wrap and super tape my Christmas gifts cause I was super good at peeking inside)

If you wish to participate in this baby shower or just want to help us out with needed baby items, don't forget you can check out our baby registry at Babies-R-Us and see what's on there you want to get. You don't have to though, so don't feel obligated or anything. I guess our baby can do without nice things. LOL.

Alright then. I'll talk to you later.
