Sad day day for Amanda and I . As you may have read, we have been visiting Amanda's mom, first in the hospital and now at the hospice. Well, Amanda was sleeping in preparation for her midnight shift when she received a call from a nurse at the hospice saying if you want to see her again, best to do it now.
We'd been out to see her the two days prior and she was very "lethargic" (as one nurse put it). Meaning she didn't wake up almost at all while we were there, or since Friday for that matter. Now she's worse.
So we came out to the Denver Hospice after the call and that's where I am right now.
All her close family is here and she's as comfortable as can be but it's just a matter of time till she passes. It might be tonight or it might be tomorrow or who knows.
This whole thing has been pretty tough on Amanda but she is makin' it through as good as she can. I try my best to comfort her and be there for her. My grandpa died in January and Amanda helped me deal with that, so I try to do the same for her.
So say a little prayer or send some good wishes to Amanda and our baby and to Amanda's mom, Judy, for a peaceful transition to whatever is on the other side. If you have any left I'll take some too.
Well, I best be going but I ll talk to you all later.
